Fishing Report – Saratoga Lake, NY 4/23/17 - Nate Galimore Fishing -

First trip out with the whole family this season.  It was a gorgeous day and we had fun.  I tried to target fish but gave up, the boys were very excited and not really paying attention.  I went to scout mode for an upcoming walleye trip with my dad.  I found some spots that looked good for targeting Walleye when it opens on the first weekend in May.  There are some sonar screenshots below.

  • Fish Species Targeted: Perch

  • Catch: None

  • Presentation: Jigging with worms

  • Gear: Light spinning gear

  • Water Clarity: 0-13 Feet

  • Water Temp: Around 53 degrees

  • Air Pressure: Around 30in and rising

  • Wind: None in the morning picked up in the afternoon then SSW 5-10 mph

  • General Overview: Sonar was very active with fish suspended through the column.
